Walking in the snowy forest is a rare treat. Few people anywhere have had privilege. Yet when they do, it registers into their memory for generations. This painting takes me back to walks I’ve had in the forest the mroning after a snow storm. The sun is brightly hitting the snow laden trees as they begin to unload their straining limbs. Faintly at the top of the painting are some remnant clouds. Are they reminding us of the cold strom that has passed the night before or of another day of snow about to commence? Isn’t that true in life? We sometimes miss the beauty of the moment as we worry about that single cloud in the sky?
