Tanzania Tree. Acyrlic on 16x20 Canvas 2018
Painting style is impressionist with expressive color. Bold brush strokes capture the movement and life of the outdoor scene with a vibrant sky.
Canvas is triple primed, painted with acrylic paint, and sealed with an isolation coat and two glossy coats of sealer with Ultra Violet Light Stabilizers giving the painting long term superior color preservation and fastness.
This painting captures the excitement of what appears to be a Kigelia tree in Tanzania. This tree stands alone as if to express it’s strong claim on that spot. It takes a lot for any species to survive in Africa and this tree is a tribute to the spirit of standing tall and strong, regardless of the challenges. I have been fortunate to travel regularly to Africa for two decades. My entire family and been to Africa and two of my children now live there full time. There is a sense of timelessness in the continent and that nature puts up with the temporary appearance of humans. This painting captures that timeless appeal.
